Special Education Services

 

Students with disabilities who attend Spokane Public Schools receive support services from the Spokane Public Schools' Resource Teacher.

Services provided include:

  • Tours of the Skills Center to help determine student interests.

  • Staffing of students from Spokane Public Schools to coordinate information from the home school MDT. This helps ensure a successful placement at the Skills Center.

  • Individualized assistance with basic academics in student's chosen program.

  • Monitoring and supporting of IEP goals and objectives.

  • Help with curriculum modification and adaptations.

  • Software design for reading and writing disabilities (WYNN).

Students with disabilities who attend other non-district schools may receive support at their high school.
