CAREER MAJOR DESCRIPTION
Communications Technology Prepares students with skills necessary for initial employment in a wide range of occupations related to print and electronic media.
Specialty areas are designed to provide students with learning opportunities in
web development, printing, photography, desktop publishing, electronic imaging, multimedia
authoring, drawing, illustrating, video and audio production. Competency based, individualized instruction allows students to progress at their own rate. Work-based learning opportunities are available to students
through job shadows, internships, and cooperative education experiences.
Many specialty areas have articulation agreements with post-secondary institutions so students can continue training at a technical or community college.
